paraic and i tried to use skype today. it worked 50%. at first he could only hear me, and i couldn't hear him so i was just talking into the mic and he would write me things back on an instant messenger thing. then we tried again and i called him and then he couldnt hear me i could just hear him. and luke part of the time. it was really funny, we were on it for over an hour and could never get it to work right.
and i had so much fun and i was so happy to hear him even a little bit.
horrible horrible horrible idea.
not hearing his voice is better than hearing his voice.
too hard.

i saw julia yesterday! it was pouring rain and i couldn't take it any longer, i needed the second book in the twilight series. i forced shane and jeanette to come with me to the little old book store in uptown, which is really not looking so little or old anymore. i wasted no time, went straight to the counter, asked where the book was and had it in my hand, when i looked up and saw a familiar face. i simultaneously said 'julia?' and hid the book underneath my scarf. we talked for a minute before she commented 'i've read all the books too.' i was relieved to have my guilty pleasure out in the open. she said 'it doesn't get better' and i said 'dammit, i have to read it anyway.'
this second book is about a love leaving you behind, and the struggle between whether to not give up on that love, even if it is a lost cause, or to settle in a way for something that can make your hollow life at least partially filled.
its weird when you can relate to a girl choosing between a werewolf at home and a vamipre that left her. i was telling hayley about the second book and she said "oh. okay. so, paraic is edward(the vampire) and michael is taylor ( the werewolf)." and then she smiled, pleased with herself for analyzing me so easily.
and i'm getting close to the end of the book. but i already know she doesn't chose the werewolf, because paraic is still out there somewhere.
